The concepts presented below are the basics which will allow you to understand the fundamental principles of creating visualizations. By learning them, employees of cluster coordinators’ offices will be able to express their needs and ideas in a clearer and more accessible way. They are also essential information for gaining further competence in visualization.

In order to increase the level of learning efficiency, a test has been developed to check the knowledge acquired. Familiarizing yourself with the following definitions will allow you to pass the test and advance to the intermediate level of Verifier. The sources given have been selected so that it is possible to convey the relevant information in the most condensed way possible.

More advanced resources are placed on the “Additional Resources” screen. They allow you to better understand the issues presented.  This is supplementary information – you do not need to know it to earn the certificate.

The presented materials are educational in nature. They should not be considered as an advertisement for a particular product or an incentive to use a particular solution.

Since creating visualizations is a creative activity, in addition to the concepts, examples of the use of graphical representation of data in various types of reports, atlases, websites, etc. have been collected. While familiarity with these sources is not necessary to pass the test, it can provide plenty of inspiration for creating your own projects and show you what good practice in visualization creation looks like.
